The year-end function of Global Computing and Telecoms (GCT) was a splendid event held at the Swiss Country Club. The venue was beautifully decorated with festive decorations, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. The GCT team arrived dressed in their semi-formal outfits.
The Secret Santa tradition added an element of love and surprise to the event. Each participant had drawn a name before the event and had been on a mission to find the perfect gift for their Secret Santa. The gifts were placed under the Christmas tree.
Abner Mariri graced the year-end function to motivate the GCT team members. He emphasized that every individual should define their goal, design their strategy, and determine their resources. Mariri not only shared powerful words but also gave his book to Tumelo Ngoepe. Ngoepe said, “I felt happy and honored to be graced by the man I truly admire. His life’s journey is an inspiration and motivation that anyone can turn the hardships around.”
GCT MD Sello Mbuli encouraged his team that they should show up whether they qualify for certain things or positions. They must show up and God will be with them. “The Eagle is flying and if you don’t show up, you will be left behind.”
Mbuli extended his gratitude to Lerato Annah Vilakazi, Nokuthula Zwane, Vusi Cossa, and Mpho Makwala for showing up and being hungry for driving results.
The COO Alycia Ramlucken stated that they will have an employee of the month every month for being a high performer.
The moment everyone was waiting for, the Secret Santa gift exchange, began. Each individual was called to the front to collect their gift. It was filled with surprise, laughter, love, and the identity of their Secret Santa remained a secret.
